Joe Pitts Congressional Papers

Congressional Papers

The donation to Asbury Archives from Pitts consists of over 50 linear feet of materials. These contain hundreds of letters on religious freedoms, general human rights, and foreign relations. Pitts’ collection also includes personal papers, campaign materials, and media clips about his service in Congress. Certain issues, like health care reform, Amish issues, and the Clinton Impeachment debate are also well-represented in the collection. Thirty-one of Pitts’ official international trips are documented, as well as his office and staff files. Archives also is processing the digital files Pitts gave to the University including hours of video and audio files, press clippings, and official documents from his career. Stay tuned for more materials and news related to Pitts’ collection here.

A basic box-level index is available to preview the topics within the congressional papers.
